Josh Freedman
My name is Josh Freedman, and I am in the Education Specialist Degree program in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. I began the program in Fall 2018 and will graduate in Spring 2020. I graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2003 with a BacheIor's degree in elementary education. Immediately after graduation, I began teaching elementary school. After three years of teaching at the elementary school level, I enrolled at Kennewas State University in the Educational Leadership program. I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Masters in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Technology Leadership.
I currently teach STEM to kindergarten through fifth-grade students at Shelton Elementary, Dallas Elementary, and Poole Elementary schools. KSU's reputation in instructional technology led me to the Education Specialist Degree program in the Department of Instructional Technology. My ultimate goal is to obtain a job as a technology coach to help teachers and students maximize their technology use for education.
The purpose of this portfolio is for me to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards and the ISTE NETS-C standards. As you can see, there are a series of links below the KSU logo that you can visit. Of particular importance is the "standards" link. Under this link, you will see a series of artifacts and reflections documenting the important work I have completed during this program. Each artifact represents mastery of the standard under which it is represented.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kennesaw State University, and feel that I am well-prepared to integrate technology into my classroom and to assist other educators in using technology and providing professional learning opportunities for them.
